Features of Ground Push Conveyor

Flexibility: These conveyors can be configured to accommodate different layouts, inclines, declines, and curves, making them versatile for a wide range of applications.

Cost-Efficiency: The ability to modify and expand the conveyor system as needed reduces capital expenditure, making it a cost-effective choice for businesses.

Adaptability: These conveyors can be easily reconfigured or repurposed to meet changing production needs, providing a high degree of adaptability.

Mixed Industrial Applications: Modular conveyors are designed for specific industries, such as food, with measures that ensure cleanliness, quality and compliance with industry standards. · With the ability to switch between industry specific modules a change in the product your operation is handling is no issue.

Reliability VS Reduced Down Time: Individual conveyor modules can be easily disconnected and serviced without affecting the entire system, minimising downtime during maintenance and repairs.

Precautions for Use: Ground Push Conveyor

Warehouses and manufacturing facilities can feature various types of conveyor systems. They are a great way to automate the flow of goods and materials in an industrial facility, leading to fewer bottlenecks and a more constant process flow.

The critical nature of conveyors is undisputable. However, we often act as if the smooth functioning of conveyors is a given. We allocate maintenance attention only when there is a problem.

The main culprits for the lack of maintenance is the fact that conveyor systems are designed to operate round-the-clock and have a lot of moving parts spread over a large area. To perform any significant maintenance work, the whole conveyor system has to be stopped. Oftentimes, this means that a portion of factory operations (or all of them) have to be halted.

Usage of Ground Push Conveyor

Most items are best handled on roller conveyor, however, wheel conveyor may be substituted where a portable type gravity conveyor is required, where light weight containers (38 lbs. per ft. in steel, 18 lbs. per ft. in aluminum) are to be handled and where semi-rigid filled multi-wall paper bags or bales are to be handled.

In general, roller conveyor should not be used for conveying burlap bags of coffee beans, paper or cotton bags of rice, cotton bags of flour or freshly filled paper bags of cement because the type of material mentioned has a tendency to drape over rollers.

FAQ

Q: What is the loading factor for a ground push conveyor?

A: Used to convey a regulated volume of material from trough inlet to trough discharge. Material flow into the conveyor must enter at a uniform, metered rate. Conveyed material bed depth is typically at 15%, 30% or 45% of the trough. 45% trough loading is considered maximum for ground push conveyors.

Q: What is the slope of ground push conveyor?

A: A standard ground push conveyor inclined 15° upward will carry 75% of its rated horizontal capacity. At an inclination of 25°, a standard conveyor May only handle 50% of its horizontal capacity. These are estimated figures and will vary with the characteristic of the material being handled.

Q: What is the maximum angle for a ground push conveyor?

A: The conveying angle of the shafted tubular conveyor is about 45°, while the conveying angle of the shafted u-shaped conveyor is about 20°-30°. The conveying angle of the shaftless tubular conveyor is about 30°, while the conveying angle of the shaftless u-shaped conveyor is about 20°-30°.

Q: Is a ground push conveyor push or pull?

A: When a ground push conveyor drive unit is driven at the inlet (or tail) end of the conveyor, the system pushes the material instead of pulling it. Pushing material is not typically the preferred configuration for most conveying applications, as pushing the material can add compression stress to the screw.

Q: What are the characteristics of ground push conveyor?

A: Ground push conveyors are used to convey bulk material from almost any position (vertical, horizontal, or at an incline) and are one of the most reliable methods of conveyance. The ground push conveyor is composed of a pipe with a welded steel strip that is formed into a continuous helix. The helix is referred to as the flighting.
